Abstract

Liquid crystal spatial light modulators (LC-SLM) provide a viable alternative for all-optical switching. This paper investigates the design and performance of an optical layout for a N×N free space optical switch. The optical switch utilizes liquid crystal spatial light modulators for beam steering.
