This report was produced to document the research project undertaken between 1997 and 1998, however the project continued throughout the next three years, gathering more valuable data to assist in the protection of these areas of significant biological diversity. Ray Froend is currently a Professor in Applied Ecology and Associate Dean at ECU's School of Science. He maintains a strong focus on identifying and protecting the groundwater requirements of dependent ecosystems in his research projects and publications.
