Dr. Marica Ferri is responsible for the Evidence Based Medicine Unit at the Agency for Public Health in Rome, Italy.
Dr. Ferri has a Masters degree in Epidemiology from the Universita Cattolica Sacro Cuore A. Gemelli Rome, and a Masters degree in Systematic Review from the University of Milan and University of Oxford.
Until April 2004, Dr. Ferri was co-ordinator of the Cochrane Drugs and Alcohol Group. Dr. Ferri has since undertaken her new position with the Agency for Public Health, which involves collaborating in the development and experimentation of guidelines, some of which are specific to the field of emergency medicine.
Dr. Assunta De Luca is Head of the Emergency Department at the Agency for Public Health in the Latium region of Rome, Italy.
Dr. Assunta graduated as a Medical Doctor in 1994, specializing in Epidemiology, Hygiene and Preventative Medicine. She has been conducting cerebrovascular stroke surveillance since 2001, and has been involved in the development of a series of emergency pathways for the management of critical patients (stroke, heart attack, trauma, eclampsia, acute respiratory insufficiency, and critical paediatric diseases) since 2003.
