Hugh Grantham MBBS, FRACGP
As Medical Director of South Australia Ambulance Service (SAAS) for over eleven years, Hugh has contributed in advancing the role of paramedics through education, medical/clinical leadership and management. Hugh is also Director of the Ambulance Education Unit of SAAS. He holds an academic appointment within the Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Unit of the Faculty of Medicine at Flinders University.
Hugh teaches in a broad range of prehospital areas, including Early Management of Severe Trauma (EMST) and Advanced Paediatric Life Support.
On a wider level, Hugh contributes to the Education and Clinical Councils of the Convention of Ambulance Authorities, and is a member of the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) on behalf of the Convention of Ambulance Authorities.
Hugh has published on topics relating to prehospital care and primary emergency medical care.
