BParamedic Studies, GradDip Emergency Health, MEH, PhD Candidate, MACAP Gavin has been a paramedic with Ambulance Victoria (AV) since 1992. He is currently an operational Single Responder MICA paramedic and MICA Clinical Instructor, and sits on the Medical Advisory Committee of AV. In addition to his roles at AV, Gavin is a sessional academic lecturer at Monash University, a lecturer in the Australian Defence Force Advance Medical Attendant Course and Combat Medical Attendant Course, and has recently been appointed as Course Co-ordinator for the ADF Biomedical Engineering Technician Course. Gavin's research into Valsalva and supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) has resulted in changes to Ambulance Victoria protocols for paramedic management of SVT. In addition to presenting his research at national and international conferences, Gavin has published a number of papers in peer reviewed journals.
