Description

Defying Gravity is a student based percussion collective from WAAPA (West Australian Academy of Performing Arts), one of Australia's most impressive tertiary arts institutions. Defying Gravity has taken percussion from the back of the orchestra performing music from around the globe. They've just clocked up 30 years and boast a higher than 90% success rate in the percussion-based job market. Director Tim White's been there for a good part of the 30 years and brings in a complement of players along with student composer Pavan Hari, to perform live from the ABC Perth studios.
