Burrow (Collapse) explores bee species and habitat through a variety of works in different mediums. Developing from an interest in the non-human, clay and the natural world, the work examines introduced and indigenous bee species in Aotearoa, New Zealand and Australia. Both have introduced honey bees and indigenous burrowing variants. There are 1,700 native bee or Djilyaro species in Australia, with about 800 of these in WA and 27 endemic species, Ngaro Huruhuru, in Aotearoa.

YouYang Tat Sat is an assemblage of sensations and emotions that have emerged as a neo-mantra for Banerjee, one that seamlessly splices the memories of her home country, her imaginative third spaces and her life in the present day. It is testament to a migrant’s yearning for an authentic sense of home. Through the involuntarily harnesses memory deployed in the negotiations of everyday life has she then finally found home or is this merely a trick that her migrant mind has played?
