Abstract
The Self Assessment Manikin (SAM) is a feedback device created for pen and paper feedback on printed survey sheets. With the new constraints and requirements typical of modern experiments, many researchers have adapted the SAM to various software implementations. This paper examines these various software implementations and their impact on related experiments and presents two novel techniques for SAM feedback that were developed using a PDA and a custom built hardware device.
