Abstract
This article reports on a four-year study (2007–2010) in which an integrative model of body image and a quantitative measure was developed with which body image satisfaction in older adulthood was investigated. It argues that body image is a significant concern to older adults. Further, it proposes that body image dissatisfaction in older adulthood is psychologically injurious.
