Abstract

The concept that type 2 diabetes (T2D)/insulin resistance is associated with dementia risk and pathogenesis has gained momentum over the past few decades. However, there are still gaps in our understanding of the direct/indirect impact of T2D on dementia risk, onset or progression and underlying pathological mechanisms.
