About This Journal

Research Journalism is an academic journal established to publish a new kind of journalism, and to offer that work free of charge to the public.

Its authors are pioneering the use of the journalism as an academic methodology to create new understanding of issues of legitimate public concern. Journalism has an established body of information-gathering techniques, a framework for enquiry and an industry-based code of ethics. These form the basis of the methodology employed by Research Journalism authors.

All work submitted to Research Journalism is subjected to blind peer review by three journalism academics to confirm that the work is academically rigorous and sufficiently newsworthy to warrant publication.

Research Journalism is published by the CREATEC research centre at Edith Cowan University.
