Abstract

In this paper, we provide a rationale for, and analysis of, the values in education unit taught to final year students in the K-7, BEd course at Edith Cowan University. The aim is to construct concept-based understandings in students by integrating three traditional areas of values learning: educational philosophy, educational management and education policy. The intention is to enable the development of reflective, critical and infonned practitioners, who are ready for the demands of a changing world and profession.
