Numerical model of toughness parameter for Al-MWCNT composites. An FEA case study

The present focuses on the developing the numerical model of the Al-MWCNT composite in terms of toughness parameter, which directly test the high strain rate while in fracture, therefore allowing us to measure the how much of the energy is absorbed. The numerical model derived by parametrically changing the material properties, and measuring the maximum energy taken for the Al-MWCNT composite specimen. The amount of energy absorbed is solved using FEA and the function is derived by using the linear regression model, the function derived has predicted same behavior by the model constant has varied and it is also found that toughness of the composite [Al+MWCNT] has transited towards the steel toughness.
