Description

This dataset contains de-identified quantitative data collected during end-user testing of Supercharged, an immersive virtual reality (IVR) career education simulation focused on electrical work in the mining and resources sector. Participants were secondary school students (Years 9–10) who completed pre- and post-intervention surveys surrounding a brief IVR experience. The dataset includes demographic variables (age, gender, prior IVR experience), pre- and post-measures of interest, self-efficacy, and career aspirations aligned with Social Cognitive Career Theory, as well as post-experience evaluations of learning, design, engagement, and motion sickness. Data were collected using validated and adapted psychometric instruments and analysed to examine short-term changes in vocational interest and perceived capability. The dataset supports research into immersive learning, vocational education, and career development.
