Research Activity Title

CO2 – brine – sandstone wettability evaluation at reservoir conditions via Nuclear Magnetic Resonance measurements

Research Activity Description

There are limitations with conventional technique to investigate the wettability of a sandstone rock in presence of CO2 and there lack of fundamental understanding of this important parameter. Therefore,

here we used an independent technique (NMR), which has a molecular resolution, to overcome some of the above mentioned limitations, and to add to the fundamental understanding of flow processes of scCO2 through brine saturated porous rock. This work will thus aid in the implementation of large scale CO2 geo-sequestration
