Aims & Scope
Directions of New Music (DNM) aims to gather and present high quality musical research with a particular focus on Australasian scholars and practitioners. Each published article undergoes a rigorous process of editorial selection according to each issue’s subject, as well as a standard double-blind peer reviewing. DNM’s content is open access to readers and cost-free to authors.
DNM’s scope encompasses scholarly research on Western Art Music (composed or improvised; instrumental or electroacoustic, and beyond) from creative, performative, musicological or interdisciplinary perspectives.
