Abstract

We propose an opto-VLSI correlator for optical header recognition where an array of fiber Bragg gratings is used in combination with an opto-VLSI processor. A proof-of-concept 4-bit opto-VLSI correlator is experimentally demonstrated at 2.2 Gb/s.
