Abstract

As the wireless network begins to increase in popularity, so will mobile devices such as laptops, FDA and FDA phones which these days are equipped with wireless capabilities such as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi standard. With wireless capabilities these mobile devices may be connected to the internet at any place and at any time. Does having wireless functions make the mobile devices walking weapons? Organizations, big or small, do -have their own trade secrets. These organizations tend to lock information up in places like desktops or laptops in the office. As these organizations begin to switch to a wireless network, they are opening themselves to more cyberattacks and industrial espionage. Most of these organizations do not have any policies regarding FDAs or mobile devices, thus anyone can bring mobile devices into the organization. If such mobile devices are loaded with digital ammunition, known as steganography, the consequences might be very serious. This paper will consider how steganography and wireless mobile devices may affect businesses.
