Hutchinson, W. (2005). An Information Centric approach to Information Security Teaching. In Proceedings of the Colloquium for Information Systems Security Education. Mawson Lakes, Adelaide: School of Computer and Information Science, University of South Australia.

Abstract

This paper examines an approach to developing an Information Security course based on the expansion of the definition of information rather than one based solely on the security aspects of information technology. It examines the concepts of information data, and knowledge and their relationships. The outcome is that the course is more human centric in its approach.
