Abstract
An adaptive beam control for intelligent reconfigurable optical switch is proposed. The device consists of the liquid crystal spatial light modulator with embedded optical ( or JR) sensors generating directional information of the alignment of the beam incident upon the modulator. This information is used by the control system to recompute the holograms in order to adjust the beam alignment.
