Abstract
This paper reports on a recent research project that explored teacher’s readiness to engage students in 21 century learning experiences with new and emerging technologies. A medium scale survey was conducted with teachers from a random sample of 350 Victorian government primary schools in Australia. Drawing on a newly developed framework of teachers’ ICT literacy, the survey collected data about primary school teachers’ self-reported competence in integrating digital technologies into their pedagogical practices. The paper presents the findings of the survey and identifies directions for teacher professional learning.
