Abstract
This paper describes a short course designed to support parents wishing to help their children with primary mathematics. The course was offered in conjunction with a mathematics support clinic that their children were attending. The clinic offered support for children experiencing difficulties in mathematics so the parents were keenly interested in finding out how to help their children. This paper reports on the issues that arose during the course. Topics, parent comments and responses are reported and suggestions for future parent support are offered.
