Abstract

This paper describes a study of integrating computers using authoring software to support EFL teaching and learning for pre-service teachers in Thailand. The two components; instructor's teaching strategies and pre-service teachers' achievement in EFL tests on English prepositions were investigated. The researcher's aim was to highlight the possible contribution of computer use in EFL classroom teaching and learning. For a more in-depth and thorough understanding of teaching strategies, pre-service teachers' English performance, both qualitative and quantitative procedures were adopted. Findings revealed that integrating computer usage to support EFL learning with effective teaching strategies improved pre-service teachers' English results in preposition tests.
