Abstract
Pulmonary rehabilitation works. For cost-effectiveness in COPD care, it is second only to smoking cessation. However, the benefits gained tend to fade with time. Alternate-week in-person maintenance pulmonary rehabilitation provided by trained practitioners also works. Unfortunately, long-term attendance at maintenance pulmonary rehabilitation programs is poor.
