We might move into the golden age of film tourism but destinations will have to professionalise themselves in this segment in order to fulfil the high expectations held by tourists. (Roesch, 2018: 93). This quotation hints at the pressure that local authorities and communities might face when they start to engage in film or fan tourism, perceiving its economic potentials (and therefore its positive outcomes, but also its unpredictable development). . . .
