Abstract

This chapter has been developed to enable readers to broaden their understanding of occupational hygiene data sources and tools and provide information on how to access these. Knowing where to source reliable information from a wide range of sources are an important aspect for professionals practising occupational hygiene, particularly as the knowledge in the field continues to develop rapidly. The resources listed in this chapter are mostly available for free, and, for others, purchasing a limited licence can provide access to the materials. Note that many of the resources listed in this chapter do not necessarily have the amount of detail or level of precision for formal occupational hygiene measurements, and some require additional interpretation of the results obtained. The final section of the chapter provides guidelines on how to search the literature for resources that are available in a ‘Open Access’ mode. The information provided in the links were up to date at the time the chapter was prepared.
