Abstract

Over the past decade, transnational education (TNE) partnerships between higher education institutes have been on the rise globally. This trend is mirrored in Vietnam, where the scale and scope of TNE activities have expanded significantly. Despite the challenges posed by the global pandemic (Covid-19), the landscape of TNE is evolving with resilience and adaptability. This crisis has given rise to new challenges and opened up new opportunities for practitioners, researchers, and policymakers to develop innovative modes of TNE, preparing Vietnam for the next generation of TNE activities. This book chapter will focus on the growth of TNE in Vietnam and the traditional and emerging modes of TNE prior to and since Covid-19. The chapter concludes with insights and recommendations to better inform future TNE practices and research into TNE in Vietnam.
