Abstract
Wellbeing literacy is the capability of intentionally communicating about and for wellbeing in contextually suitable and multimodal ways. It involves comprehending and composing to be well and to do well. Wellbeing literacy is the development of vocabulary about wellbeing, cultivating wellbeing expressions and experiences, contextual awareness, and purposefulness. Wellbeing Literacy can be nurtured and embodied across contexts to maintain or improve the wellbeing of oneself, others, or the world. In this edited book collection, we bring together international researchers, scholars, and practitioners from varying contexts and disciplines to critique wellbeing literacy and consider this new area of wellbeing science in relation to how they view/understand the world.
