Abstract

This study examines how destination attractiveness factors (e.g. access, amenities, scenery, and the local community) influence digital nomads’ decisions to stay. In addition, it investigates the moderating role of gender in shaping digital nomads’ decision-making. Data were collected through surveys in two prominent tourist destinations in Iran. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) results revealed that access, amenities, the local community, and scenery are significant pull factors that attract visitors and affect their decisions. Access had a stronger influence on women's decision-making, highlighting its importance, while amenities were more impactful for men. These findings offer valuable insights for destination managers and policymakers seeking to attract digital nomad tourists.
