Abstract

Since its inception in 1956, the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) has featured participants from across Europe and beyond. Eurovision is more than just a showcase of talent; it serves as a unique platform for countries to express their cultural identities and national pride through song and performance (Baker, 2008; Carniel, 2019; Kalman et al., 2019). Many performances are infused with elements of traditional music, language and dance, which reflect the rich tapestry of the competing nation’s heritage.
