Web series are dead: Long live web series

Abstract
Since the mid-90s, the web series has emerged as a dynamic and experimental form in the screen production landscape. Once positioned as the antithesis of broadcast television – grassroots, self-funded, and defiantly independent – web series became a testing ground for new voices, new business models, and new forms of storytelling. It is from this creative and industrial moment that The Web Series Experiment takes its name and its starting point.
