Response to Letter to the Editor: 'Patient opinion of scarring is multidimensional: An investigation of the POSAS with confirmatory factor analysis'
Abstract
We would like to thank Ayubi E. and Sani M. for their interest and comments of our paper entitled ‘Patient opinion of scarring is multidimensional: An investigation of the POSAS with confirmatory factor analysis’. However, they incorrectly stated that our results indicated the POSAS to be valid and reliable for assessing the patient’s perception of their total burn scar(s). This was not stated in our paper. In fact, the concluding remarks of our paper stated that further development of the proposed multidimensional model is required.
