Optimization of power-over-fiber using silicon photovoltaic microcells
Abstract
This paper presents a fundamental analysis of the projected performance of power over optical fiber for silicon-based photovoltaic micro-cells. This study determines the maximum micro-cell efficiency as a function of the illuminating laser properties and micro-cell thickness.
