The December mid‐year economic review suggested Western Australia was beginning to return to a stronger position. A Galaxy Poll showed support for Labor holding firm, although the absence of a government majority in the Legislative Council meant that no measure could be rubber‐stamped (Perth Now, 12 August 2018).
