Development of a high-performance thin-layer chromatography method for the analysis of Kakadu plum
Abstract
© 2021, Akadémiai Kiadó, Budapest, Hungary. This paper describes the development and application of a high-performance thin-layer chromatography method for the analysis of Kakadu plum (Terminalia ferdinandiana). The method involves a simple extraction into methanol, separation on a silica gel 60 F254 plate using toluene‒ethyl acetate‒formic acid (25:15:10, V/V) as the mobile phase. The method was applied to bulk Kakadu plum extracts and commercially available Kakadu plum powders.
