About This Journal

The Australian Indigenous HealthInfoNet has renamed its 42 year-old Australian Indigenous HealthBulletin to the Journal of the Australian Indigenous HealthInfoNet. HealthInfoNet Director, Professor Neil Drew says “the online peer reviewed Journal has been separated from the HealthBulletin website, which now makes it easier for authors and readers to access the Journal and submit articles via the Edith Cowan University Research Online repository. This change clearly identifies and positions the Journal both within Australia and overseas as a vehicle for both emerging and established researchers”.

Today, the Journal of the Australian Indigenous HealthInfoNet editorial team are staff of the Australian Indigenous HealthInfoNet, a research team also founded by Professor Neil Thomson, based at Edith Cowan University in Perth, Western Australia. The Journal of the Australian Indigenous HealthInfoNet was revitalised in 2020 with the transition to an automated manuscript management system. The Journal now sits within ECU’s Research Online institutional repository, making it more visible and accessible to researchers and readers throughout the world.

Acknowledgement of Country

The Journal of the Australian Indigenous HealthInfoNet acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands and waters of Australia and the Torres Strait. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging, with particular acknowledgement to the Whadjuk people of the Noongar nation, the Traditional Custodians of the lands where our offices are located.
