Abstract
This special issue contains 12 articles that are disseminating the “Advances in Science, Engineering and Technology in Combating Pollution for a Sustainable Future”. They are selected from the presentations made at the 14th annual international conference on the “Challenges in Environmental Science and Engineering”, CESE-2021 that was held online on the 6th and the 7th of November 2021. CESE-2021 was attended by 200 participants from 18 nations and regions. This special issue discusses wastewater monitoring, treatment, and microbiological behavior, as well as sludge management approaches, renewable energy, biosolids, and hydrology. . . .
