Abstract

In an increasingly digital world, integrating advanced technologies in education is essential for fostering innovation, enhancing learning experiences, and preparing students for the future. This paper explores how innovative learning and teaching practices, such as blended learning, active learning, and gamification, can transform educational experiences, providing a robust framework for sustainable development and economic growth. Stone (2022) maintains that enhancing online learning with evidence-based strategies can help more students persist and succeed in university. Drawing from over 15 years of experience in implementing digital technologies, and high quality, technology-enabled and student-focused learning model and best practice principles in Australia, this paper examines the adaptation and implementation of technology enhanced learning (TEL) and practices in Australian universities and their potential adoption in Bhutan's schools and higher education institutions at minimal cost.
