Abstract

HIV/AIDS continuesto be a primary global public health concern. Social issues such as stigma and discrimination against HIV profoundly affects wellbeing and health-related quality of life (HRQOL) of people living with HIV/AIDS (PLHIV). Improving wellbeing and HRQOL among PLHIV is a central goal of HIV treatment and care. Numerous studies have previously assessed wellbeing and HRQOL of PLHIV globally, but no study has been conducted to understand the wellbeing and HRQOL of PLHIV in the Himalayan Kingdom although the country detected its first HIV case in 1993.
